Christine Settembrino

Christine Settembrino of North Brunswick, New Jersey began her training at Center Stage Dance and Theatre School where she studied ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, acting, and voice. During her summers she attended programs at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Ellison Ballet, and Charlotte Ballet. Christine was a member of Princeton Ballet School’s Professional Training Program for her final two years of high school and performed in American Repertory Ballet’s The Nutcracker under the direction of Douglas Martin. While attending college at the University of Cincinnati, College- Conservatory of Music she performed as a classical soloist in Deirdre Carberry’s stagings of Don Quioxte and La Bayadere and as a featured contemporary dancer in Ben Needleham-Wood’s Responding to You and Anthony Krutzkamp’s Similar. Christine also worked as an assistant for Kazuaki Shiota and Karen Wissel’s Interactive Sonic Dance Research Project, which appeared at the SEAMUS (Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States) 2015 National Conference. While in college, Christine performed in Dayton Ballet’s The Nutcracker for two years as a member of the corps de ballet. She is very excited for her second season with Missouri Contemporary Ballet as a company member.
