Maria Hall’s early dance training was with the Springfield Ballet, under the direction of Ashley Paige Romines. She graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri- Kansas City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet and Modern Performance and Choreography. At UMKC she trained under Paula Weber, Mary Pat Henry, David Justin, DeeAnna Hiett, Gary Abbott and Sabrina Madison-Canon. Maria has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Gregory Dawson, Peter Anastos, and Philip Jerry. She has performed with Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey, and the Alvin Ailey company in “Memoria”. Maria also performed “Eden” as an apprentice with Wylliams-Henry Contemporary Dance Company. She has trained at summer programs including Giordano Dance Chicago, The Rock School for Dance Education, Kansas City Ballet, and Netherlands Dance Theatre. Maria recently traveled to Guatemala to perform in the 76th Annual Choreographers Showcase with dancers from around the world. Maria looks forward to her first season with Missouri Contemporary Ballet.
