Meredith Green Soares

Meredith Green Soares trained in Kansas City under Kristopher Estes-Brown and Jennifer Tierney. During this time she attended several summer intensives, one of them being with the Milwaukee Ballet. From this, she was offered a contract for the Milwaukee Ballet II for the 2013-2014 season. She performed several roles there, including Gamzatti from La Bayadere, Giselle Peasant Pas, Chinese Dragon in Michael Pink’s The Nutcracker, and original choreography by Timothy O’Donnell in the company’s Winter Series. She also won MBII’s choreographic competition and had her piece, “Oblivion,” performed at the Graduation Performance. After Milwaukee, Meredith traveled to Brazil for the summer, where she was invited to choreograph, teach, and perform her own original choreography in the workshop program 1 Minuto Para Dança. For the 2014-2015 season, Meredith became a company dancer with Ballet Quad Cities in Rock Island, Illinois. With BQC, she performed as a Bride of Dracula in Courtney Lyon’s Dracula, Snow and Flowers in The Nutcracker, and the Queen in Lyon’s Sleeping Beauty. Meredith joined the Mareck Center for Dance in the fall of 2015 and has since performed several incredible works by choreographers such as Kristopher Estes-Brown, Penny Saunders, Jen Medina, Fernando Rodriguez, Laurie Sefton, Bryn Cohn, Christian Denice, Kam Saunders, and Lindsey Matheis. She is excited to be returning for her fifth season with the company.
