Barby Wulff started as a loan officer at Veterans United in January of 2009. She was promoted to a senior loan officer and then to a team lead before moving to her current role as associate director of production in November of 2015. In this role, Barby oversees 21 loan officer team leads directly and 232 employees in the production department indirectly. She provides coaching, guidance and motivation to help her employees achieve maximum performance. Barby also promotes a positive team environment and helps her team members grow professionally. Her position is a key leadership role for the company in the production (sales) division. Barby works alongside three other associate directors to help ensure success for the company through sales by developing, encouraging and supporting employees.
Before working at Veterans United, Barby worked as a licensed agency assistant at Wright Shelter Insurance Agency for two years, and prior to that she owned her own business for three years, Total Lending Center, Inc. She obtained her broker’s license in both Missouri and Kansas, and was solely responsible for managing her staff, marketing for the business, as well as originating, processing and closing loans for her pipeline. Prior to owning her own business, Barby worked as a branch manager at National Mortgage Company for three years, as well as an account executive at New Horizons Computer Learning Center for one year.
Barby attended Columbia College and the University of Missouri to work toward a degree in general studies, hotel management and computers and business. She spends her free time working out and biking with her husband and her bike team from work, the Veterans United Loan Riders.
