June 2020 (Date TBD) – MCB’s Collaboration with Missouri Symphony Society

At Jesse Hall, presented by the University Concert Series

Music and motion come together to evoke emotion unlike any other. This collaboration explores the interaction between classical music and contemporary ballet and will challenge audience expectations of both. The athleticism of the dancers, the twists and turns of contemporary ballet, and the artistry of the dancers as they engage with the music are sure to enthrall audiences. The professional dance company of the Missouri Contemporary Ballet will perform original choreography accompanied by a live performance of the Missouri Symphony Society. The performance is a fusion of two classical art forms with a contemporary twist, fostering the natural dialogue between dance and music, providing an opportunity for our artists to broaden their understanding of one another’s expressions, and providing audiences with a chance to experience this dialogue through a powerful, immersive experience.
