About the School

Mareck Center for Dance stands alone in mid-Missouri as:

  • The only not-for-profit ballet school.
  • The only school to offer instruction exclusively from professional dancers.
  • A school that offers classes to dancers of all ages and levels of experience, in a range of genres from classical ballet to jazz.

Founded in 2011, the Mareck Center for Dance cultivates the artistic and personal development of its students by providing a supportive environment of dance study.

We advance our parent Company’s mission of dance education by offering classes that motivate, challenge, and inspire students.

Our vision is to develop the skills of each student professionally and artistically by introducing both traditional and innovative dance techniques. This vision is supported by two fundamental principles: continual growth and the pursuit of excellence.

Attaining our vision requires diligence, creativity, confidence, and fortitude from our staff, instructors, students, and supporters.

The Mareck Center for Dance hires only the highest caliber instructors, provides a competitive yet supportive class structure, and retains students dedicated to the study of dance.

All of our students gain critical skills beyond dance, and they have an opportunity to perform publicly at venues throughout the area.

Our competitive students have been accepted into some of the most acclaimed dance programs in the country – including the Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theater of Harlem, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, Kansas City Ballet, Louisville Ballet, and Nashville Ballet.
